2.2 For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g. orders or enquiries sent to the controller), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the character string “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

This service enables us to deliver large media files such as graphics, page content or scripts more quickly via a network of regionally distributed servers. Processing serves our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

4) Cookies

To make visiting our website attractive and enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser (“session cookies”), while others remain on your device for longer and allow website settings to be saved (“persistent cookies”). 5) Contacting Us

5.1 WhatsApp Business

You can contact us via the WhatsApp messaging service provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. For this purpose, we use the “Business” version of WhatsApp.

If you contact us via WhatsApp in connection with a specific transaction (for example, an order you have placed), we store and use the mobile phone number you use on WhatsApp and, if provided, your first and last name in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR to process and respond to your enquiry. On the same legal basis, we may ask you via WhatsApp to provide further information (order number, customer number, address or email address) so that we can assign your enquiry to a specific transaction.

If you use our WhatsApp contact option for general enquiries (for example, about our services, availability or website), we store and use the mobile phone number you use on WhatsApp and, if provided, your first and last name in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the requested information efficiently and promptly.

Your data is always used solely to respond to your enquiry via WhatsApp. It is not disclosed to third parties.

Please note that WhatsApp Business has access to the address book of the mobile device we use for this purpose and automatically transfers the phone numbers stored in that address book to a server of its parent company, Meta Platforms Inc., in the USA. To operate our WhatsApp Business account, we use a mobile device whose address book contains only the WhatsApp contact details of users who have also contacted us via WhatsApp.

This ensures that every person whose WhatsApp contact details are stored in our address book has already consented, when first using the app on their device and accepting WhatsApp’s terms of use, to the transfer of their WhatsApp phone number from the address books of their chat contacts in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. This excludes the transfer of data belonging to users who do not use WhatsApp and/or have not contacted us via WhatsApp.

For the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by WhatsApp, as well as your related rights and settings available to protect your privacy, please refer to WhatsApp’s privacy information: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/?eea=1#privacy-policy

We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider that protects our website visitors’ data and prohibits disclosure to third parties.

The processing described above may involve transfers of data to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For transfers of data to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

5.2 When you contact us (e.g. via contact form or email), personal data is processed exclusively for the purpose of handling and responding to your enquiry and only to the extent necessary for that purpose.

The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your contact relates to entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR is an additional legal basis for processing. Your data will be deleted when it is apparent from the circumstances that the matter concerned has been conclusively resolved, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

6) Data Processing When Opening a Customer Account

In accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, personal data is also collected and processed to the extent necessary when you provide it to us while opening a customer account. The information required to open an account is shown in the input fields of the relevant form on our website.

You may delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to the controller’s address given above. After your customer account has been deleted, your data will be deleted provided that all contracts concluded through it have been fully performed, no statutory retention periods prevent deletion, and we have no continuing legitimate interest in retaining the data.

7) Use of Customer Data for Direct Marketing

7.1 Subscription to Our Email Newsletter

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only information required for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing further data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. We use the double opt-in procedure for newsletter subscriptions. This ensures that you receive newsletters only after you have expressly confirmed your consent to receiving them by clicking a verification link sent to the email address you provided.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. We store the IP address assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), together with the date and time of registration, so that any possible misuse of your email address can be traced at a later date. The data we collect when you subscribe to the newsletter is used strictly for the specified purpose.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning of this policy. After you unsubscribe, your email address will be deleted from our newsletter mailing list without delay, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data further where permitted by law and as described in this policy.

7.2 Sending the Email Newsletter to Existing Customers

If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly email you offers from our range for goods or services similar to those you have already purchased. Under Section 7(3) of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG), we do not need to obtain separate consent from you for this purpose. Data processing is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct marketing in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send you such emails.

You are entitled to object at any time, with effect for the future, to the use of your email address for the marketing purpose described above by notifying the controller named at the beginning of this policy. You will incur only transmission costs at basic rates. Once we receive your objection, we will cease using your email address for marketing purposes without delay.

Exclusively on the basis of your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, we also reserve the right to carry out a statistical assessment of the success of email campaigns using web beacons or tracking pixels in the emails sent. These can measure opening rates and specific interactions with newsletter content. Device information (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system) is also collected and analysed, but is not combined with other datasets.

You may withdraw your consent to email tracking at any time with effect for the future.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider that protects our website visitors’ data and prohibits disclosure to third parties.

7.4 Product Availability Notifications by Email

For items that are temporarily unavailable, you can register to receive product availability notifications by email. We will then send you a single email notifying you of the availability of the item you selected. The only information required to send this notification is your email address. Providing further data is voluntary and may be used to address you personally. We use the double opt-in procedure for sending these emails. This ensures that you receive a notification only after you have expressly confirmed your consent by clicking a verification link sent to the email address you provided.

The data we collect when you register for our email product availability notification service is used strictly for the specified purpose.

You can unsubscribe from availability notifications at any time by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning of this policy. By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR to send a shopping cart reminder. We store the IP address assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), together with the date and time of registration, so that any possible misuse of your email address can be traced at a later date. The data we collect when you register for our email notification service is used strictly for the specified purpose.

You can unsubscribe from shopping cart reminders at any time by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning of this policy. 8.4 Use of Payment Service Providers

- Apple Pay

If you select “Apple Pay” as your payment method, provided by Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, payment is processed via the Apple Pay function on your device running iOS, watchOS or macOS by charging a payment card stored in Apple Pay. Apple Pay uses security features integrated into your device’s hardware and software to protect your transactions. Authorising a payment therefore requires entering a code you previously set and verification using the Face ID or Touch ID function of your device.

For payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is transmitted to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before transmitting it to the payment service provider for the payment card stored in Apple Pay to carry out the payment. Encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. Once payment has been made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm that payment was successful.

If personal data is processed during the transmissions described, processing takes place exclusively for payment processing in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Apple retains anonymised transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was successfully completed. Anonymisation completely excludes identification of an individual. Apple uses the anonymised data to improve Apple Pay and other Apple products and services.

If you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase you made through Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorising device communicate through an encrypted channel on Apple’s servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you. You can disable the ability to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to “Wallet & Apple Pay” and disable “Allow Payments on Mac”.

Further information about privacy with Apple Pay is available at: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027
- Google Pay

If you select “Google Pay” as your payment method, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), payment is processed through the Google Pay application on your mobile device running at least Android 4.4 (“KitKat”) and equipped with NFC, by charging a payment card stored in Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g. PayPal). To authorise a Google Pay payment of more than €25, you must first unlock your mobile device using the verification method configured on it (such as facial recognition, password, fingerprint or pattern).

For payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is transmitted to Google. Google then transmits the payment information stored in Google Pay to the originating website in the form of a uniquely assigned transaction number, which is used to verify that payment has been made. This transaction number contains no information about the actual payment details of the payment methods stored in Google Pay; instead, it is created and transmitted as a single-use numerical token. In all transactions via Google Pay, Google acts solely as an intermediary for processing the payment. The transaction is carried out exclusively between the user and the originating website by charging the payment method stored in Google Pay.

If personal data is processed during the transmissions described, processing takes place exclusively for payment processing in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Google reserves the right to collect, store and analyse certain transaction-specific information for every transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the transaction date, time and amount; merchant location and description; a description of the goods or services purchased provided by the merchant; photos you have attached to the transaction; the names and email addresses of the seller and buyer or sender and recipient; the payment method used; your description of the reason for the transaction; and, where applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.

According to Google, this processing takes place exclusively in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of its legitimate interest in proper accounting, verification of transaction data, and optimisation and maintenance of the functionality of the Google Pay service.

Google also reserves the right to combine the transaction data processed with other information collected and stored by Google when you use other Google services.

The Google Pay terms of service are available here:

9) Web Analytics Services

9.1 Google (Universal) Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), which enables analysis of your use of our website.

By default, Google (Universal) Analytics sets cookies when you visit the website. These are small text files stored on your device that collect certain information. This information includes your IP address, although Google truncates its final digits to prevent direct identification of an individual.

The information is transmitted to Google servers and processed further there. Transfers to Google LLC based in the USA are also possible.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for us and provide further services relating to website and internet use. The truncated IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. The data collected through Google (Universal) Analytics is stored for two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies on the device used, takes place only if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Without your consent, Google (Universal) Analytics is not used during your visit. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please deactivate this service using the cookie consent tool provided on the website.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google that ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information about Google (Universal) Analytics is available at https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/, https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Demographics
Google (Universal) Analytics uses the special “demographics” function to compile statistics about the age, gender and interests of website visitors. This is done by analysing advertising and information from third-party providers. This enables target groups for marketing activities to be identified. However, the data collected cannot be attributed to a specific person and is deleted after being stored for two months.

Google Signals
As an extension to Google (Universal) Analytics, Google Signals may be used on this website to create cross-device reports. If you have activated personalised ads and linked your devices to your Google account, Google may, subject to your consent to the use of Google Analytics under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, analyse your usage behaviour across devices and create database models, including models relating to cross-device conversions. We receive no personal data from Google, only statistics. If you wish to stop cross-device analysis, you can disable “Personalised advertising” in your Google account settings. For transfers of data to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

Instead, information about your usage behaviour is collected and processed through “pings” (small data packets sent to the host of a device).

The data collected through Google Analytics 4 is stored for two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, including data transmission through pings and the possible setting of Google Analytics cookies, takes place only if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 is not used during your visit. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please deactivate this service using the cookie consent tool provided on the website.

This website uses “Google Tag Manager”, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”).

Google Tag Manager provides a technical basis for combining various web applications, including tracking and analytics services, and configuring, controlling and making them subject to conditions through a single user interface. Google Tag Manager itself does not store or read information on users’ devices. Nor does the service carry out independent data analysis. However, when a page is accessed, Google Tag Manager transmits your IP address to Google, where it may be stored. Transfers to servers of Google LLC in the USA are also possible.

This processing is carried out only if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without this consent, Google Tag Manager is not used during your visit. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please deactivate this service in the cookie consent tool provided on the website.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

Using cookies and/or comparable technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons and algorithms for reading device and browser information), the service collects and stores pseudonymised visitor data, including information about the device used, such as the IP address and browser information, in order to statistically analyse usage behaviour on our website and create pseudonymised usage profiles. Pseudonymisation generally excludes direct identification of an individual. The data is not combined with directly identifying data about you collected by other means.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the cookie consent tool provided on the website.

10) Retargeting/Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

10.1 Google Ads Remarketing

This website uses retargeting technology provided by: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.

For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in the browser on your device, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and the pages you have visited. Any further data processing takes place only if you have agreed with Google that your internet and app browsing history may be linked to your Google account and information from your Google account may be used to personalise advertisements you view on the web. If you are logged in to Google while visiting our website in this case, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data to form audiences. Use of Google Ads Remarketing may also involve the transfer of personal data to servers of Google LLC in the USA.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies to read information on the device used, is carried out only if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without this consent, retargeting technology is not used during your visit.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please deactivate this service in the cookie consent tool provided on the website.

10.2 Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising programme “Google Ads” and, as part of Google Ads, conversion tracking provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). We use Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites through advertising materials (“Google AdWords”). Using data from advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful individual advertising measures are. Our aim is to show you advertisements that interest you, make our website more interesting for you and ensure fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks an Ads advertisement placed by Google. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally. If a user visits certain pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user clicked the advertisement and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. These customers learn the total number of users who clicked their advertisement and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information by which users can be personally identified. Use of Google Ads may also involve the transfer of personal data to servers of Google LLC in the USA.

Details of the processing initiated by Google Ads Conversion Tracking and how Google handles data from websites are available here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

11) Website Functionality

11.1 Google Maps

This website uses an online mapping service provided by: Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive maps to present geographical information visually. Using this service shows you our location and makes it easier to find directions to us.

When you access a subpage containing an embedded Google Maps map, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers and stored there. This may also involve transmission to servers of Google LLC in the USA. This happens regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether a user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data is assigned directly to your account. If you do not want your data associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles (even for users who are not logged in) and evaluates it.

Collection, storage and evaluation take place in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of Google’s legitimate interest in displaying personalised advertising, market research and/or tailoring Google websites to users’ needs. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google. If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in connection with using Google Maps, you can also completely disable the Google Maps web service by switching off JavaScript in your browser. Google Maps, and therefore the map display on this website, can then no longer be used.

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data described above in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please follow the method of objection described above.

For transfers of data to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

Further information about Google’s privacy policies is available here: https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/

11.2 - Google reCAPTCHA

On this website, we use the CAPTCHA service provided by: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.

Data may also be transmitted to: Google LLC, USA.

For the visual design of the CAPTCHA window, the provider uses “Google Fonts”, i.e. fonts downloaded from the internet by Google. This does not involve the processing of any information beyond that mentioned above, which is already transmitted to Google through the functionality of reCAPTCHA.

The service checks whether input is made by a natural person or abusively through machine-based and automated processing, and blocks spam, DDoS attacks and similar automated malicious access. To ensure that an action is performed by a human rather than an automated bot, the provider collects the IP address of the device used, identifying information about the browser and operating system type, and the date and duration of the visit, and transmits this information to the provider’s servers for analysis. Cookies, i.e. small text files stored in the browser on the device, may be used for this purpose.

Where the processing described above is based on cookies, these are set only if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the cookie consent tool provided on the website.

Where the processing described above is carried out without cookies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in establishing individual accountability on the internet and preventing abuse and spam in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

For transfers of data to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

12) Tools and Miscellaneous

12.1 Cookie Consent Tool

This website uses a cookie consent tool to obtain valid user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The cookie consent tool is displayed to users when they access the website in the form of an interactive user interface, on which consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be given by ticking boxes. The tool ensures that all cookies/services requiring consent are loaded only if the respective user has given the corresponding consent by ticking a box. This ensures that such cookies are placed on the user’s device only when consent has been given.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to store your cookie preferences. As a rule, no personal user data is processed in this context.

If, in individual cases, personal data (such as the IP address) is nevertheless processed for the purpose of storing, assigning or logging cookie settings, this is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific and user-friendly cookie consent management and, consequently, a legally compliant website.

Article 6(1)(c) GDPR is an additional legal basis for processing. As the controller, we are legally obliged to make the use of technically non-essential cookies dependent on the respective user’s consent.

Where necessary, we have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

Further information about the operator and the settings available in the cookie consent tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

12.2 Doofinder

This website uses a search technology service provided by: DooFinder S.L., Madrid 28037, Rufino González 23 bis, 1º 1, Spain.

To provide the product search function through the search field and for navigation and filters, the provider collects and stores certain user information (such as the user or session ID) in anonymised form.

If personal data is also processed in this context, processing takes place in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a fault-tolerant product search and thus optimally marketing our range.

13) Rights of the Data Subject

13.1 Applicable data protection law grants you the following rights as a data subject in relation to the controller’s processing of your personal data (rights of access and intervention). The conditions for exercising each right are set out in the legal provisions cited:

  • Right of access under Article 15 GDPR;
  • Right to rectification under Article 16 GDPR;
  • Right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR;

  • Right to be informed under Article 19 GDPR;
  • Right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR;
  • Right to withdraw consent under Article 7(3) GDPR;
  • Right to lodge a complaint under Article 77 GDPR.

13.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT

IF, AS PART OF A BALANCING OF INTERESTS, WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON THE BASIS OF OUR OVERRIDING LEGITIMATE INTEREST, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING AT ANY TIME, WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED. HOWEVER, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CONTINUE PROCESSING IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING. YOU MAY EXERCISE YOUR OBJECTION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES.

14) Retention Period for Personal Data

The period for which personal data is retained is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing and, where applicable, the relevant statutory retention period (e.g. retention periods under commercial and tax law).

Where personal data is processed on the basis of express consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, the data concerned is retained until you withdraw your consent.

If statutory retention periods apply to data processed in connection with contractual or similar obligations on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, this data is routinely deleted after the retention periods expire, provided that it is no longer necessary for performing or initiating a contract and/or we have no continuing legitimate interest in retaining it.

Where personal data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, this data is retained until you exercise your right to object under Article 21(1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Where personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, this data is retained until you exercise your right to object under Article 21(2) GDPR.

Unless the other information in this policy concerning specific processing situations states otherwise, stored personal data is otherwise deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
